About Alyssa Lloyd
Started out of a genuine love for fashion and high quality garments, the Alyssa Lloyd brand strives to help more women become conscious about the clothing they put into their wardrobes.
Slow fashion for a fast paced lives
There’s nothing more satisfying and empowering than having a small but curated collection of items in your wardrobe you know you can turn to time and time again. All garments at Alyssa Lloyd are designed with the principles of slow fashion in mind - they’re made of durable fabrics, designed to last and can be worn across styles and seasons. The concept of spontaneous elegance sits at the core of our collections as it speaks to the transformative power that beloved, flattering garments can have over the confidence of the women who wear them.
Keeping sustainable and ethical principles at our core
It’s no secret the fashion industry is a harmful and wasteful one. But the tide is slowly turning with brands becoming transparent about their practices, allowing consumers to make conscious decisions about who to support. Being a small business means it's hard to have 100% transparency in our supply chain but for now Alyssa Lloyd is focused on choosing environmentally friendly fabrics, cutting down on waste in all areas of our business and creating beautiful, quality garments that will be worn with respect, cared for and treasured for years to come.
Lovingly and locally produced
All garments are designed, cut and sewn in our Auckland studio, meaning a lot of love and detail is put into every piece. Each item is quite literally handmade. As this brand continues to grow and develop we will continue to support the local garment industry ensuring the same level of care and attention is paid, while also keeping the important skills of clothing production in New Zealand.
Meet the designer
I’m Chloe Alyssa Win, the designer and maker behind Alyssa Lloyd.
Long-time fashion lover, I started learning to sew in my 20s and quickly decided there’s nothing I love doing more than shopping for beautiful fabrics and spending my time crafting them into even more beautiful garments.
I’m a big time proponent of ‘buy once, buy well’, and this philosophy sits at the core of all the things I make.
I nerd out over fabric, aspire to own a dog, own (almost) too many plants and can’t stop buying ceramics!
