Beginner sewing lessons
Sewing is a rewarding and oh-so helpful skill to have. Our one-on-one beginner lessons are designed to give you a great foundation of sewing knowledge so you can tackle projects from simple pillowcases, right up to dresses, tops and skirts.
No prior experience or sewing machine required.

Are you a confident sewist who needs a little help tackling more complex projects, or who wants to learn more advanced sewing techniques? Book a one-on-one lesson with a sewing expert and I’ll guide you towards making your best garments yet!

Pattern making lessons
Creating your own patterns opens up a world of opportunities to make perfectly fitting and unique garments. With our pattern making class you’ll learn to make you own basic pattern block, as well as countless techniques to manipulate or edit patterns to create the wardrobe of your dreams.

Hi I’m Chloe - designer, pattern maker, and seamstress at Alyssa Lloyd. Sewing has always been a popular pastime in my family, ever since my Granny insisted on making everything from dresses to skirts and even underwear for her 6 kids in the 50s and 60s!
I didn’t grow up sewing, but rather developed an interest in my 20s where I found it an amazing creative outlet during a particularly stressful time in my life. Fast-forward almost 10 years and I’m now lucky enough to have turned my hobby into a career!
I love sharing my passion for fabric, sewing and pattern making with new people and I look forward to the beautiful things we’ll make together.
